Really neat spot, loved the unique decor and theme throughout the hotel. The room was a decent size for the price, and it’s conveniently located not too far from the airport. The hot tub was a great bonus and a nice way to relax.

Unfortunately, there were noticeable stains on the sheets, duvet, and chair, which took away from the overall experience. With better attention to cleanliness, this place could be a real standout.

We stayed in one of the cabins for a total of 7 nights. We had a great time! We had plenty of space for us two and slept well every night. Sometimes you heard people walking through to get to their cabin, but otherwise it was really quiet. It's a bit odd that the hot water smells like sulfur, but you quickly get used to it and it didn't bother us at all. The water pressure was great. The breakfast was yummy and had enough to choose from. The check-in and check-out was fast and easy. The beds squeaked a bit but were otherwise comfy. We had a great stay and would definitely come here again if we came back to Iceland.

We stayed in a little apartment with our 10 month old baby in mid April.

The apartments themselves are very nice and they provide a cot for quite a large fee (3500ISK or £21 - for a single night!).

These were some of the most reasonably priced apartments in Reykjavik, and they have a little private area upstairs which is nice as the baby goes to sleep around 7pm.

However, the area upstairs is very much in the same room as downstairs so once the baby is asleep you have to be very quiet or incur their baby viking wrath. This is particularly difficult given the beds up there are *so* creaky (as is the floor).

It would be nice if there was some way to dampen the sound, e.g. a curtain or sliding shutters so that you could have some privacy up there.

The rooms however are a very nice quality, the staff are nice, there is an interesting gift shop and the adjoining restaurant is very atmospheric. The beds could have been comfier.

The hotel is located quite close to Central Reykjavik - it would be a long walk, but an easy drive into town. We stayed here as a convenient means for getting to the airport on the last day of our trip.

We did not avail ourselves of the hot tub or sauna but they looked very nice!

We were in room 50 Ullur - each room is named after a Norse god.

We arrived after 24 hours travel and had to pay about $60 US for early check-in. We were exhausted so we paid. They put us into a room next to noisy construction. Seniors should beware of all the raised thresholds. (Tripping hazard). The room was dark but comfortable. They didn’t provide any shampoo or conditioner. The breakfast was excellent and the overall atmosphere of the place was cool.

A double room wasn't available when we booked so we had 2 twin beds. The room was extremely small. There was nowhere to open our luggas. There was only one usable power outlet. The bathroom was a wet bath with a squeegee for the floor. There were no toiletries except soap from a wall mounted dispenser. The room was clean. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The were polite. Breakfast was OK. The breakfast room didn't have a lot of room to move around. The location was close to everything with lots of free parking. I would probably find somewhere else to stay in the future. Mostly because of the size of the room. This was the first hotel stay in Iceland so maybe our expectations are high and this is standard here.
