We’ve had such a wonderful experience at the Skrimsli workshop on our last night in Iceland! Not only is the location stunning but Alma is an amazing host who made us feel so welcome and made the experience unforgettable.
Being here at the workshop really captures the spirit of Iceland and its people. Warm, welcoming and magical!

We went to the black beach and did the golden circle tour but making our own little Skrimsli was a highlight for sure because we actually get to take a piece of Iceland home with us.

And we were part of creating it! You can choose real Icelandic wool for your Skrimsli and the materials are recycled which I absolutely love - handmade and sustainable!!
+ you don’t need any skills only the joy of picking out the perfect fabric and pieces that make your Skrimsli unique and lovable!

I also took a book home with me. It is the story of the Skrimslis and a story of Icelandic culture. You can feel how much love goes into creating these magical little beings!

Honestly, if you want to take a souvenir home from Iceland THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! I promise you they bring so much joy and make you feel like a little kid again - a feeling we should all embrace more often!
Thank you for the wonderful experience and sharing a part of the Icelandic culture with us! We’ll be back for sure!!!

** i can also recommend making a Skrimsli at the beginning of your trip. I would have loved taking it to the stunning waterfalls and other beautiful places to take pictures with it - such a cute memorabilia and I can imagine it being even more fun for the kids (that don’t always love the photo sessions)!

Adorable workshop in such a peaceful location! Alma was so personable and made this such a fun experience for my kids. They were able to personalize their own monsters and walked them through the steps and explained the story. The monsters turned out so cute and we had to pick up some keychains as well. Would definitely recommend!

We had such a fun time making Skrimslis during our honeymoon in Iceland and it's so nice to have brought back a personalized souvenir from our trip! We would definitely recommend this activity to any group as it is fun for all ages.

Our Icelandic friend recommended the Skrimsli workshop to us because we happened to land in Iceland on our son’s 6th birthday, and we wanted to do something special and unique. Alma was awesome, and the workshop location was beautiful.

It’s so cool and special to see the little monsters in the shops around town and know that we got to create our very own custom one.

Such an amazing and unforgettable experience!
There, you can create your own Skrimsli step by step with their creator at her workshop and this is just fantastic! You can give birth to your monster 👹 and make it in your own way, just like you want it to be.
Moreover, the creator is real nice and friendly and she can help you whenever you need her.
I strongly recommend you this wonderful experience, that gives a great souvenir from Iceland 🇮🇸

My husband and I were seeing these cool pieces of art at various shops around Iceland. When I saw an ad for an experience to let us make our own! We got to go to the workshop and give birth to our very own Skrimslis! The experience was great, and our host was so welcoming. Genuinely, could not have had a better time! If you’re in Iceland, setup a workshop and make your very own monster!

Such a lovely way to spend a few hours. We went for my 11-year-old crafting child, but the adults had fun too! Alma was so welcoming, and offered us drinks while we worked. She was happy to let us explore the workshop, and offered a guiding hand when we asked for it. Her workshop is a lovely, short drive from Reykjavik and the souvenir Skrimslis are a perfect reminder of our time in Iceland.
