Yummy burger at this restaurant and actually everything we ordered. We had falafel too and it came with very delicious sauce under it gave it different taste. The burger was loaded with the flavors, especially the crispy onion. The potato were good too but I wish they gave me the option to not add the sauce they used. The atmosphere was fun but with a bit loud music from the bar. The staff are very friendly.

This place was awesome! Love the atmosphere and most importantly the food. We stopped in for dinner, based on Phil's recommendation. It is a unique dinning experience you place and pay for your order, then they bring you the food after you.

We tried a couple of their burgers, Cheeseburger and Dirty Harry. These burgers were fantastic! They were so juicy and tasty. The buns were very unique. We also got a side of the Parmesan Garlic Potatoes - excellent! If you are in the area and looking for a great burger. This is the spot!

A Meal Fit for a Queen (and Her Amusing Plus-One)

The Queen and I just popped into Le Kock in Reykjavík for a spot of supper, and let me tell you, it was an absolute royal treat. From the moment we arrived, we knew this was no ordinary establishment; the place was absolutely Kock-a-block with personality.

The decor is a delightful assault on the senses. There’s so much to look at, from the quirky art to the witty stickers plastered everywhere. It’s clear they have no qualms about letting their Kock hang out for all to see. The staff were wonderfully friendly, helping us navigate the menu and find a seat before we could even muster a "God save the Queen." They really know how to handle a crowd without getting their Knickers in a twist.

The ordering system is simple: you visit the counter, place your order, and are given a number. It’s a testament to their efficiency that one never feels like just a number… though I did have to remind Her Majesty that, for the evening, she was "Number 46." She took it rather well.

Now, let's talk about the main event—the food. The menu is a thing of beauty, divided into sections that celebrate the potato, the burger, the chicken wing, and a dizzying array of shakes. It’s a veritable Kock-tail of culinary delights! We decided to share the Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was a masterpiece of hot honey and other tasty accoutrements. It was so good, it left us in a state of pure, unadulterated Kock-a-doodle-bliss.

Accompanying this majestic bird was a basket of fried potatoes with a creamy aïoli. They were perfectly crisp, perfectly seasoned, and frankly, a right proper bunch of Kocky little spuds.

In the end, the combination of the brilliantly witty atmosphere, the incredibly friendly staff, and the downright delicious food makes Le Kock a true winner. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stand up and announce, "My Kock is fantastic!" But, as the Queen wisely pointed out, one must maintain a certain decorum in public.

Five out of five crowns. We’ll definitely be back. After all, a girl can’t live on scones and jam forever.

Long live Le Kock!

Defined one of my best burgers. The their own potato bun, sauce, the taste is really unique. Icelandic baby potatoes are also great. Also great beers on tap and can, various selections from Iceland and their own micro brews. It is a must visit in Iceland.

The staff is also friendly and trying their best to make the experience smooth. The atmosphere, music is also fantastic.

Wow this place is great. We ended up
coming for breakfast and dinner, the donuts are great but the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich are probably the best I’ve had in my life. And we really enjoyed their take on fish and chips.

Also, they were playing Pokemon on the TV so this is probably the best restaurant ever.

Very tasty! The chicken wings are a must-try. They offer a wide variety of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, so you’re sure to find something you like.

The only downside is that the instructions aren’t very clear. The restaurant is quite spacious, and at first glance, it doesn’t seem like a self-serve place. There are no signs or guidance when you enter, and the staff didn’t explain the process—you’re expected to find your own seat, grab a menu at the counter, and place your order there.

But once you know how it works, you can relax and enjoy your food and drinks comfortably.
