Fint hotell på en flott lokasjon, utsikt ut i det uendelige. Fine rom, men vonde harde senger, ikke gode dyner eller putter. Gjorde nattens søvnkvalitet dårlig. Ellers var alt fint og flott. Rent og nytt.

Visited in July. Spent 2 nights. Lovely stay.

Basically situated in the middle of nowhere. Just you and the glacier, can you imagine? Would love to come back in winter to have a chat with northern lights. Would stay in Fosshotel again if I were to return.

Spacious room. Comfy beds. Toilet and shower were separated. Simple yet delightful breakfast. Given complimentary drinks too during happy hours. Nothing to pick on at all.

Overall an extremely satisfying stay.

The hotel is exactly as pictured and in a great location. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The staff were helpful and polite. The location was great for sightseeing in the area and then Hofn is nearby for meals and the grocery store. The location has amazing views of the glacier and surrounding area and even provided amazing Northern Light views one evening. I would highly recommend this hotel for our Iceland adventures.

Das Hotel hat eine perfekte Lage zwischen der Gletscherlagune und Höfn. Die Familienzimmer sind groß und gut ausgestattet. WiFi ist kein Highlight aber ok auch zum streamen. Das Frühstück ist ok, aber kein Vergleich zu einem anderen Fosshotel. Insbesondere schade ist, dass es nur eine Kaffeemaschine gibt. Zusammengefasst einer der besseren Hotels in der Region um Höfn, aber kein Vergleich zu anderen Fosshotels, hier hängt das Hotel dem Standard der anderen einen Stern hinterher.

We are pretty seasoned travelers, lifetime titanium with Marriott, platinum with IHG, gold with Hilton. This was our third Fosshotel stay in Iceland, our first at Lake Myvatn was wonderful. Our second stay at Eastfjords was good, not as good as Lake Myvatn, but we would stay again. This Fosshotel we would never stay at again. Most of the staff was super nice and helpful. We paid appr. $350 for what they later explained was an economy room. It is small, night stand on only one side, no place for bags. The bathroom has no shelves and no counter space and the tiniest shower, did not know they could be that small. The walls are paper thin, can hear everything from the rooms on either side. And the TV does not work. When I asked for help with the TV, the woman at the front reception said there was nothing that could be done, there were no other rooms, and after all, "you did book an economy room". When we complained about the noise, she said it would cost to upgrade. We were very pro Fosshotels based on our first two stays. Now we would say it varies br property and could not recommend this one.

The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, which made check-in smooth and welcoming. After a long day of driving, it was such a relief to lie down in the extremely comfortable beds, they were just what I needed. The bartender was also very friendly and made the evening even more enjoyable. Overall, a great stay!

Esternamente l’hotel si presenta moderno, ma la nostra camera (347€ una doppia x 1 notte…) era piuttosto vecchia, in particolare il bagno e le lenzuola molto rovinate.
Assenza di ascensore.
Buona colazione.
Ottima vista dalla sala principale.
Situato a 15 minuti dal centro di Hofn.

The most beautiful hotel of our entire trip. But above all, I highly recommend trying the wonderful food at this hotel. We had the opportunity to taste lamb and baked cheese with vegetables that are typical of Iceland — absolutely delicious. Later, we found out that the chef at this hotel is a Polish woman who has been cooking there for years. The food was amazing 😍. The breakfasts were very filling and offered a wide selection. I highly recommend it!!!
