I have recently visited two times this post Office and I was very pleased with the customer service especialy regarding setting up the P.o. box here in Iceland. The staff was friendly but most importantly very helpfull and eager to share many informations! Takk fyrir! 🙂

The worst post service ever. One shipments has been lost and it's impossible that it didn't came to Iceland from Germany at all for over two weeks... Flights are everyday and even commercial airplanes are delivering mail. The other one looks like gonna be lost too, flight from Finland are everyday and today that estimated arrival to country will be max 31.01.2025 and now in the evening shows 03.02.2025. I do not advice using their service because they are terrible.

HUGE FEES... This situation applies to everyone! In my situation I bought some items from Aliexpress( it doesn't matter from Ebay, Amazon, Temu or Alibaba) that whole order cost including shipping fees in total 11,136 ISK. When parcels arrived at Posturinn for 9 parcels I needed to pay in total extra 15,013 ISK ( that's way above parcel value) fees including administration fee 840 ISK, shipping fee 599 ISK, for each parcel no matter that parcel cost 3 $ still you need to pay for each same amount. At least VAT customs 24% are cheaper than Posturinn fees. My advice to communicate to platform from where you purchase stuff and ask to put every single package to on single box then you gonna pay one fee and avoid 1 meter receipt
