Við gistum í 2 nætur á leið okkar um landið. Dásamleg þjónusta sem við fengum, herbergið rúmgott og hreinlæti uppá 10. Sturtan kraftmikil og góð. Stutt að fara á Höfn til að sækja sér þjónustu/veitingahús. Einnig mjög gott útsýni. Mæli hiklaust með.

Chambre louée pour une nuit à hofn. Emplacement à 4 ou 5 kms avant hofn.|Correct pour une nuit, chambre simple sans chichis mais propre. Pas de tv, mais cela ne nous dérange pas. Salle de restauration ouverte toute la nuit avec bouilloire, machine à café et microonde.on peut y aller quand on veut, et utiliser couverts.... cela nous a permis de faire notre propre petit déjeuner le lendemain sans payer le service.

The perfect place to make pictures to Northern Lights, because it is dark enough.

The rooms are so cozy. The bed was really confortabile. There îs no tv, but we stayed only one night and we had no time for tv.

The entrance is with Code, so you can make the check în whenever you want.

Quality towels. A lot of romantic lights. The bathroom was equiped with everything you need.

Highly recommend, comfy, clean, functional, great value.

Liked · Check in process was very easy; room and facilities were excellent, comfortable, clean, and modern. The location was also perfect, just a bit outside Hofn, and very accessible to all nearby attractions.
Lastly, the kitchen facilities (plates, microwave, coffee machine) are quite functional.

Disliked · Only minor points of improvement - a mini fridge in the rooms would be ideal. As it was very cold, we were able to keep food cold in the car, but this is not very comfy.
Lastly, we would suggest having a way to turn off the lights outside of the rooms - this would be optimal for northern lights spotting, as the guesthouse is very well located with lights displays very visible. However, the ourdoor lights of the room make it difficult.

Die Unterkunft ist super modern aufgebaut und mit self-check-in auch unkompliziert.

Innen gibt es schon ein paar Gebrauchsspuren, aber das Zimmer war sauber und sehr schön.

Da man etwas abgelegen ist, hat man auch gute Chancen die Polarlichter zu sehen.

Frühstück ist in der Unterkunft hinzuzubuchen wenn man möchte. Die Auswahl hält sich in Grenzen, aber es ist ausreichend und gemütlich. Es besteht aber auch die Möglichkeit, eigenes Essen zu verspeisen.

Very nice, cheap and comfy rooms 5 minutes away from Hofn. For those who are hunting northern lights this place is ideal as they keep it low lighting during night and all north side is clear with a massive view.

I would say that Seljavellir is an accommodation that met our needs but did not go above and beyond. However, what we booked is what we got. It’s a no frills basic accommodation. The self check in was easy. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the main area of Hofn. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and warm. There’s a counter, a coat rack, only soap in the bathroom, a single pillow per person, a single hand towel (even for 2 people). Also, the noise control isn’t great but it didn’t bother us much because we were an end unit and our neighbors werent too noisy but I can see how others found it hard to deal with. A very odd thing I found was the flooring - it was reminiscent of faux stone we use outdoor on patios at home. So it wasn’t pleasant on the feet. The breakfast was not included and was 2500 ISK per person, but when we saw the offering we weren’t impressed and decided against it. It looked very basic for the price but then again Iceland prices are expensive. They did offer free coffee and hot water so I grabbed that and a skyr from a gas station and that was good enough for me. Overall, I’d say it was a good accommodation but not GREAT.

Struttura minimalista, camere cubo una attaccata all’altra. Tastiera su cui comporre il codice per aprire la porta mal funzionante. Tutto bianco e grigio scuro. Vetri che impediscono la vista da fuori a dentro. Letto, lunga consolle bianca con 2 sedie e uno specchio (sembra una postazione trucco) un piccolo ventilatore () uno stender con 3 grucce. Bagno cieco e doccia con tenda. Tutto con leggeri segni di usura, ad esempio il tubo della doccia perde in vari punti. |Camere acusticamente ben isolate ma molto umide. Caffetteria dove volendo si può fare colazione, 2500 Kr da pagare extra a persona, poco invitante per l’odore stantio di cibo. La mattina dalle 8 in avanti le ragazze delle pulizie iniziano a bussare per fare la camera. Alla terza volta nel giro di un’ora le abbiamo pregate di smetterla… ci hanno sbattuto gli asciugamani in mano e non sono mai più venute a pulire nonostante noi fossimo poi usciti alle 9.30. Prezzo assurdo per ciò che offre.
