Quiet waterfall off the beaten track. Free parking just a minute walk from the waterfall. The main beauty of this spot is its tranquility compared with most other popular spots in Iceland. It was really nice to spend a few quiet moments here during our hectic travel itinerary.

Ein Geheimtipp!

Der Wasserfall liegt etwas abseits an einer landwirtschaftlichen Straße.

Die Zufahrt ist recht eng und mit einigen Schlaglöchern ausgestattet, aber nur kurz und daher auch ohne SUV machbar.

Die Wasserfälle erreicht man durch eine kleine Tür.

Daran, dass die Wege nicht sonderlich abgenutzt sind sieht man, dass nicht viele Menschen hierher kommen - zu Unrecht.

Es gibt mindestens 3 Wasserfälle, die wirklich schon anzusehen sind.

Powerful double waterfall with great views of the river up and down stream.
There is a small gate you can go through to see it better. Please make sure you close it as you go through.

Jolie petite chute à l'abris des touristes.
Il n'y avait personne.
C'est un détour de 15' de la route principale. Ça vaut la peine d'y aller

Leuke tussenstop route “Golden Cirkel”. Vlakbij het stadje Hella.

Je kunt zeer dichtbij het water komen en de watervallen bezichtigen.

Gratis parkeren. Mooi kort off road wandelpaadje naar beneden. Ontzettend rustig, even geen toerisme. 🫶🏼

Skønt vandfald, lidt svært at komme til, anbefaler at du kører i en 4x4. Du kan også parkere ved den nærtliggende kirke og gå til vandfaldet (ca. 1 km), husk gode vandresko, der er vådt og smattet på den side du står

Amazing waterfalls, and i am from iceland so i know this is a hidden icelandic gem, THREE waterfalls in ONE. To get close there is one short steep hill so watch out, but it is not dangerous, this is the home of the icelandic birds Kría, she lives here from may to october (we went in april) and she is very territorial, just dont get too close and you will be fine. amazing!!

Looks beautiful and no one was there! You can go down to get close to the waterfall, as long as it’s dry and you’re careful it’s safe. There was only a very tiny car park spot for like one or two cars, since no one really goes here, but it’s definitely worth a short stop.
