We had a superb 4-course dinner here at a very reasonable price. The menu changes daily depending on the local ingredients available. Both the lamb and fish mains were cooked to perfection. The staff were incredibly kind—we ended up having a really enjoyable conversation with them about Iceland, local beer (which we tried, absolutely recommend it), and even world politics. The next morning we returned for the breakfast buffet, which was an excellent choice: everything was fresh, delicious, and made from local ingredients. There are also sweet and savory options, children also can choose easily from the buffet.

amazing restaurant with very reasonably priced 4-course meal. they have a different menu everyday, depending on the available local ingredients. the mains - lamb and fish- were perfectly cooked. we wished we could have more lamb! one of my favorite restaurants during our 10-day trip in iceland.

Truly a hidden gem. Quaint and beautifully appointed, the restaurant and campsite were a highlight of our trip. Warm and friendly staff, amazing local delicacies like pickled herring (from the local village), home baked bread and tasty pancakes.

Best meal we have had in Iceland so far. While the menu changes with the seasons everything was fresh, tasty and well balanced, and a very good value. Excellent service. Draft beers from a local craft brewer.

We loved our stop here. The food was fresh and impeccably prepared. The service was so personal and promptly served. The setting was stunning. We were very fortunate to have been able to experience Bernunes on our journey along the Ring Road.

Might be the best food I’ve ever eaten. This is a must stop. We drove 30 min because there was nothing open where we were staying and this was the closest place. And wow we got so incredibly lucky. Try the mushroom soup or the salmon appetizers. Literally so amazing.
