judging from reviews most people have a good experience, we however, did not.

they completely forgot to stop at our drop off point!

they crusied straight past and started towards the next point.

went up and talked to the captain after about 2min of traveling away from our drop off and were told that "we can't turn around"

completely missed our chance to hike Hornstrandir because of this.

seemed very mismanaged altogether, I would be very wary of using this guide.

We took the boat to Hornstrandir and back and left a bag free of charge with Borea. Bags are not locked. They also were flexible with the boat schedule and let us change to an earlier boat when leaving Hornstrandir after messaging their email through the Garmin in reach. They are great!

Cogimos el barco a Hesteyri, ida y vuelta en el dia. Una de las mejores decisiones en el viaje a Islandia. Estuvimos prácticamente solos todo el dia en medio de la naturaleza!! Los paisajes son espectaculares

This is where you meet to get picked up to be taken to Hornstrandir. There's a picnic table there and an office in what looks like a white storage container. I did leave some gear here for when I went hiking at Hornstrandir. When people came back, I saw they left suitcases and stuff with Borea too. Just be aware, your stuff just sits in their office where there's foot traffic in and out. So be mindful of leaving valuables behind. Additionally, when I ask one employee if I can leave my stuff here, she seemed unsure but did take my stuff and put it under the chair in the office. When I came back, I walked into the office and ask to get my stuff and one employee was like "How did you leave your stuff here, the office was locked?" So, yes you can leave your stuff here but the employees seems unsure about it. If you're renting a car, you may be able to park on the dock and leave it there. Not sure so ask Borea but I kinda wished I rented a car so I could have explored the surrounding area before leaving for Hornstrandir. Also, make sure you leave a phone number that they can call. I received a call around 2-3pm from the Borea Adventures main office saying that their boat was delayed by an hour. T-Mobile service works in this town. If you don't know if your service will work, get yourself a Google Voice number.
