We had a great time at Eystri-Solheimar. The owners were very kind, and helpful. Harpa spent a long time chatting with us, marking up a map with recommendations and offering wisdom on logistics and such. We also had a great talk about movies and famous directors. The homemade geysir bread was the best of our trip.
I was also very pleased with the accommodations. We got two rooms on the second floor and had an extremely comfortable night. Breakfast was relaxed and satisfying. The shared bathroom on the second floor was large, spotless, and easy to access. Views were stunning, and it was fun seeing the sheep all around the grounds, as well.
This stay exceeded my expectations, and I would come here again over many of the much higher priced places I stayed later in the trip.

This was a lucky find for us when planning our ring road adventure. Was a little worried about the shared bathroom but that was completely irrational. The bathroom was clean and we never even noticed the other 2 parties that also stayed here.
The host was super nice and accommodating. The bed were very comfortable and warm. The room was no mansion but for sure adequate for the three of us. Would stay here again.

Estuvimos en la casa de huéspedes de Einar la noche del 10/10/24. Einar es súper amable y hasta habla un poquito de español. La casa es perfecta para pasar un par de días, está cerca de VIK, pero alejada de todas las luces, así que es ideal para ver las Auroras Boreales. Nosotros tuvimos la gran suerte de ver las Auroras Rojas más bonitas de hace muchos años. Fuimos un grupo de 7 personas y nos quedamos en dos habitaciones en la planta de abajo, con baño, cocina (bien equipada para cenar y desayunar), comedor y una terraza preciosa. Para nosotros fue la mejor estancia de todo nuestro viaje por Islandia.

A horrible place, we took a quadruple room and ended up in a tiny room definitely not suitable for four people, there wasn't even space to put our luggage. The shared bathroom was tiny and the shared kitchen was poorly equipped and had only four seats. But the worst thing was waking up in the morning. We woke up to a terrible smell of food coming from the kitchen upstairs. Through some duct he reached his room directly. Absolutely not worth the very expensive price, highly not recommended

The rooms are very clean and even though not enormous, they are comfortable to stay in. The beds are very comfy and the blankets were hot and thick. The host was extremely nice and welcoming. The bathroom and shower (even though shared) were clean.

We booked it quite late the day of arrival and it was fine. The host had everything prepared, and was very kind to let us dry everything that soaked in tent day before. The kitchen was fully equiped and squeaky clean. Bathroom had a shower also very clean. Thank you for much needed rest.

Excellent quiet farm bnb. Beautiful setting, excellent breakfast and service. It was a real treat to stay here. The hosts were very friendly and hospitable. Definitely will return. Thanks again Ainar.
