Overall the car was nice, very comfortable and for a reasonable price. No issues with that whatsoever. Worth noting that it’s possible to rent a car without a credit card—instead you have to leave a considerable deposit in cash. The only problem I had was with the very unclear way that the company communicated all other additional prices. As a result I had to buy a very expensive insurance (which I was not properly informed about beforehand). Also, I had to pay for using a tunnel, even though I had already paid for it to
the company responsible for the tunnel. The owner did not show any proof that he received the bill and we are supposed to pay. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry for a plane, so couldn’t investigate it any further.

If you plan to rent a car here, just be careful.

I went to the airport to get my car... one hour later and after some calls i finally learnt that they have no car for me (even if i booked it months ago)
The Akureyri office don't answer the phone and let you down without telling you... luckily the Keflavik office finally answered me.
Maybe Geysir is a good company but don't take a car from Akureyri, they clearly don't care about their customers...
