Clean house and room. The water was hot/ cold and the bed comfy. Instructions were clearly provided and had no issues. Kitchen and dining area are shared with other guests. As it was our first time in this setting, we found it surprisingly pleasant to chat and share coffee with the other guests. The location is also quite lovely. We were able to walk to beach for a picnic and watch the sunset , stroll the whole town after eating at the local restaurant, and read the many fun facts of the town plaque along the way. 100% recommend.

Good guest house in a quite location close to Sea Shore. We rented the 2 bedroom bungalow which was clean and ready when we arrived. There are shops near by ( in walking distance ) which is quite useful if are planning on cooking your own food.

Great value for the dollar considering it is Iceland. Room was perfectly set up with everything I needed and was exceptionally clean. Easy check in process, great communication by staff. No issues and would highly recommend to any Icelandic traveller.

We love everything about Grund guesthouse. We arrive late ad our flight reached late too and we still needed to settle some rental cars matter. When we reached the property, no one was there but the notes left for us was more than clear. It was very organized. The house was sparkling, neat and tidy. The rooms exceeded our expectation. The beds and pillows are fluffy we had great sleep. The hosts are very responsive too via texts. We would definitey stay here again when we come back to Iceland. Oh, not to mention, the kitchen is very well equipped with everything we need, even bread jams and everything was provided, overall very very satisfying.

We spent our first night here before starting a week-long self-drive trip. An exceptionally helpful and generous host who advised on where to eat and what to do nearby, as well as giving us some handy hints and URLs to help with driving conditions, road closures and weather forecasts. ||The property and clean, modern and spacious, with really good cooking facilities in the communal kitchen/dining area. If you’re self-catering this will be an ideal choice. The rooms are really comfortable and the bathrooms clean and modern.||There is ample car parking outside and it’s situated near to all the local amenities and must-visit restaurants and bars.||Really couldn’t fault this accommodation or the host and wish we were staying more than just the one night!|

Wir hatten eins von zwei hinter dem Guesthouse gelegenen Holzhäusern mit zwei Schlafräumen und eigenem Badezimmer gebucht, da unser Rückflug früh morgens ging und wir den Leihwagen um 5:00 morgens bereits zurückgeben mussten. Das Haus war recht gemütlich. Das Badezimmer aber sehr sparsam ausgestattet. Hier wurde stark gespart, es fehlten sogar Aufhänger für die Handtücher. Die Unterkunft erfüllte aber ansonsten voll ihren Zweck. Grindavik muss man nicht gross ansehen. Liegt allerdings nahe an der Blauen Lagune, wenn man dort hingehen will.

Lovely place. Very clean and tidy. Really good quality furnishings. Rooms had everything that was needed and were very comfortable. Food provided for breakfast was very good and the kitchen was well stocked. Owner was incredibly friendly and very helpful. Helped to orientate with the area and made great suggestions. The location was great for the town of Grindavik and was easy to get to both the airport and Reykjavik.
