Perfect if you are staying at the hotel and need a quick bite to eat. We walked in at opening time and the complementary fresh bread and homemade hummus was a delicious surprise. The service was fast and friendly, they have an English language menu and the staff spoke English.

I’m going objectively give 4 stars. Why? Because it was a great home made meal. Quite welcome after a week on the road. We both enjoyed our meals. I got baked chicken, wife got fish of the day. Generous portion at a hard to beat price in a very expensive country. Sorry for the plate missing some food. I decided to write a review after trying the food. Bread, hummus and butter all you can eat. Enjoy!!!

Krúska is a prosperous establishment, and I have been a frequent patron since its establishment in 2009. In May 2021, my colleagues and I began purchasing food from the establishment. The restaurant, situated at Suðurlandsbraut 12, provides nutritious cuisine that is prepared with affection and consideration.

Friday celebration: We have developed a consistent practice of ordering a beef tenderloin with béarnaise sauce, fries, and a salad on Fridays. The béarnaise sauce is exceptional, and the beef tenderloin is particularly flavorful. This dish is exceedingly recommended.

Wednesday burger: We have recently begun ordering burgers on Wednesdays, which are also of exceptional quality.

Vegetarian, chicken, and salad dishes, as well as confectionary and coffee, are all available at Krúska. All cuisine is prepared on-site using only the highest quality ingredients, free of any additives.

A pleasant environment and exceptional service

I have frequently dined at the restaurant and have also taken visitors there. The service is exceptional, particularly that of Sanita, who offers an exceptionally elegant and comfortable experience. Additionally, other employees are exceedingly accommodating and amicable. Krúska provides a warm and inviting atmosphere in which to enjoy cuisine that has been lovingly prepared. Krúska is an excellent choice for nutritious and delectable cuisine, regardless of whether you opt to dine in or take it out. I strongly recommend Krúska and give it my highest rating of 5 stars.

I loved this restaurant! It was conveniently next door to my hotel and a welcome sight for a vegetarian who just flew in on a long flight. The plates are filling and delicious. The woman working the counter helped me to decide on the quiche. I enjoyed the house made bread while I waited for it to be ready and drank some orange cucumber water. The ambiance is cozy and clean. They were playing mellow hip hop while I was there, which I really appreciated. It was a great first meal in Reykjavik.

Simple place but the food was perfect and hit the spot. I had the vegan stew. You can grab bread and hummus to go with your meal as much as you like and the hummus is absolutely the tastiest I've had so far.

Not the coziest place, but for the prices you pay and the amazing food you get for it it was the best. Healthy comfort food I needed after a week in Iceland.
