Had a great trip up to this hiking "Seat". We came in on a cruise ship and could see it off the front. I would say this is a gnarly hike due to its steepness, but it only took 15 minutes to get up and around 10 down. If you don't like loose surfaces or steep trails, try the trails near the Bundafoss waterfall in town. They are beautiful and easier. The views of Isafjord are awesome. It took me 75 minutes to walk there from the port, so it is doable on your own. This trail with snow/ice on it would be a trail for experienced ice climbers only. Be prepared and be safe.

Did not hike all the way up since I didn’t have crampons, difficult since snow is pretty slippery, very high elevation. No set path in winter forged my own trail

Good view over Isafjordur. Unfortunately I would not mention here hiking but more dangerous climbing to the top.
Maybe I missed the easiest way up. Maybe the signs were taken away by the snow.

Beautiful hike right off the road. Supper nice view of the bay. You hike between two small streams. I would rate it a moderate hike. Signing the book at the top is cool!

Great little hike up. This isn’t the only “troll’s seat” around but it sure gives great view of isafjord. Recommend the next person bringing a note book bc the guestbook up there is full 😂

Kratka strma tura s nadhernym vyhladom. Cestou dole dost strme. Po vylodeni si pozoacajte Hopp elektro kolobezky a usetrite kopec casu. Kolobezky nechajte luxusne na malom parkovisku pri zaciatku tury. Uzivajte!

Krásné místo s výhledem na celý fjord. Výstup místy obtížnější ale stojí to za to . Nahoře je umístěna návštěvní kniha do ,které se můžete zapsat . Cesta z parkoviště cca 500m vytrvalého stoupání . Cesta z přístavu cca 7km po rovině. Stezka nahoru není nijak vyznačena směr a trasu si musíte vybrat sami .
