Had a delicious brunch here getting their special brunch plate. It was so good! My husband and I shared this. It had a little taste of everything. Highly recommend!

Felt like i needed to give an honest sense of our experience here while on vacation, so others could be prepared to make their own decision. We had read great reviews and were excited to go there. We ordered simple food: double espresso and potato-leek soup, which came with focaccia. It is an understatement to say we were disappointed. The soup was watery, and it had no taste other than potato. The espresso was foul. The focaccia was a good texture but like the soup, was underseasoned. In an 8 day trip this was the worst meal we ate, no question. This isn't a condemnation of the entire facility. We were able to see the exhibits and were impressed by them.

A beautiful presentation that matches the flavours !
The food at Plantan bístró was absolutely delightful !
I had the mushrooms and barley dish and it was so flavourful. A lot of textures and contrast with the beans, mushrooms and crispy barley.
I highly recommend to try it out even if you are not vegan this was one of the best dish I have had in a long time!
P.s : Their brownie are to die for too!

If you like Plantan Kaffihús (my favourite cafe in Reykjavík), you'll also love Plantan Bístró. You can get all the signature drinks that have the perfect balance of sweetness (the chai latte, the matcha latte and the hot chocolate are my favourites), but also very nice lunch and brunch options. We went on the weekend and had the weekend brunch, which was amazing. I would say that one is enough for two people - the portion sizes are generous. We also had the carrot cake, which was lovely. Highly recommended!! 🙂
