We arrived in Iceland today and are staying nearby. Like others who’ve reviewed we had a brilliant experience at the Röstin tonight. I had fish of the day (which was ling cod) and my wife had the falafel salad. Both were fresh and absolutely delish. It’s warm and cozy upstairs which was a welcome relief from the 40+mph wind outside!

My husband has the lamb chops and I had the fish of the day, which was cuck. It was delicious! The glaze on the fish and salad dressing was amazing. One guy was running the entire place from the tables to the register AND the kitchen! Definitely dont skip this place.

As foodie tourist we visited many places to immerse ourselves in local cuisine. From the second you arrive, the place is beautifully decorated, meet with a smile, and in my opinion the best tasting food that you can taste the passion and love in every bite. 15km from the airport, it is a must visit to start or end your vacation on a high.

On our last day in Iceland, we went for lunch. The restaurant was located on the second floor of a museum, offering beautiful sea views and delicious food. After lunch, we visited the museum, which had a rich collection of exhibits, including engines used in ships and vehicles, the domestic life of Icelanders in the past, and some historical stories of Iceland. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and enriched our understanding of Iceland by visiting the museum(free). Highly recommended.

Accoglienza molto di fretta.
Il cameriere molto freddo e il cuoco altrettanto.
Mancava il pane tostato nella mia vegan falafell salad e l'ho chiesto.
È intervenuto il cuoco dicendo che non si possono fare variazioni ai piatti.
Peccato che lo aveva dimenticato lui. Comunque lo hanno portato.
Eravamo in 6: chi ha ordinato fish and chips ha molto apprezzato, il Plokkifiskur e il grilled lamb chops non hanno riscosso molto successo ma erano impiattati molto bene.
All'uscita dopo aver pagato il cameriere non ha alzato nemmeno la faccia per salutare.
Ambiente e personale freddi!!

What a find! If you're looking for a very nicely cooked meal with fabulous sea views then look no further than the Röstin Restaurant. It may seem like an odd place to come for excellent food but really it's worth the trip out here.

We stopped by for lunch which consisted of Fish Gratin along with the soup of the day. Both of our meals were strikingly excellent being full of flavour and freshly prepared. Just like the food that your Mum used to make were she a whizz in the kitchen.
