這是最接近冰川的一次，我們在這裡花最多時間，這裡有遊客中心（Skaftafellsstofa），大家都是來參加冰健行，還有其他健行路線，黑色的玄武岩瀑布，也是熱門路線，我們選擇自己走較簡單路線（S1），這條路線老少鹹宜，挑戰性的在末端，可以看到冰川、冰河湖，我們嘗試的要走到最接近的地方，非常的危險，如不瞭解地形，在沒有當地導遊的帶領下，不要輕易的探險。

Nice hike to Hundafoss and Svartifoss waterfalls. Hike in was mostly up hill but on a nice wide path. Once the path started going down hill towards Svartifoss it got a little more rocky and narrow. Svartifoss was well worth the hike. Very cool.

This is the visitor center to help you plan your hiking in the area. Very helpful personal and clean facilities (including washroom) that are kept nicely. Note that the visitor center's hours change seasonally, with longer hours during the summer times so double check the website to see what time it closes. We hiked in the area in mid June. We got to the visitor center around 5:30.p.m., the center closed at 7:00 but we hiked until 8 p.m. no problem. Great hike!

This is a helpful visitor centre at Skaftafell in the Vatnajökull National Park. There is a large carpark outside the visitor centre. Parking rate starts at (1000kr per vehicle) and the visitor centre opening hours depend on the season. We found them open from 9am to 7pm during June.

There are interesting exhibitions inside the Visitor Centre and outside as well. These relate to the geology and geography of the area, flora, fauna and the life of farmers who lived in the area during recent times. There is a small gift section, a fairly large cafe eatery if you need a bite to eat or drink and rangers on location to help with any questions you have and to assist with campsite booking.

Parcheggio a pagamento, centro visitatori aperto 09-19, servizi igienici, caffetteria. Poi ci sono due sentieri facili S1 al ghiacciaio molto suggestivo e S2 va a delle cascatelle nulla di impertibile

שמורת הטבע סקאפטאפל - Skaftafell היא שמורת טבע מרהיבה, שבעבר הייתה פארק לאומי עצמאי, וכיום מהווה חלק מהפארק הלאומי ואטנאיוקול - Vatnajökull National Park – הפארק הלאומי הגדול ביותר באירופה.

Skaftafell ממוקמת למרגלות קרחון ואטנאיוקול - Vatnajökull, שהוא הקרחון הגדול באירופה, בין הכפר Kirkjubæjarklaustur לאגם הקרחונים Jökulsárlón. היא כאמור נגישה דרך כביש הטבעת.

השמורה משלבת קרחונים, הרים, מפלים, יערות, נהרות ומישורי לבה. זהו אחד המקומות היחידים באיסלנד שבהם צומחים עצים טבעיים.

השמורה גובלת בלשונות קרח של הקרחון ואטנאיוקול, ובמיוחד סקפטפלסיוקול - Skaftafellsjökull, לשון קרח שאליה ניתן להגיע בהליכה רגלית קצרה.

בשמורה מגוון מסלולי הליכה בדרגות קושי שונות, החל מטיולים קלים בני שעה ועד מסעות בני כמה ימים באזור ההררי שבמרומי הקרחון. אפשר גם לצאת לסיורי קרחונים מודרכים, כולל טיפוס עם ציוד ייעודי.

בכניסה לשמורה יש חניון גדול ולידו מרכז מבקרים, שירותים, מפות ומידע, בית קפה ומסעדה, ומדריכים מקומיים.

אנחנו התחלנו את ביקורינו בטיול רגלי אל מפל סְבָרְטִיפוֹס – Svartifoss, המפל השחור או מפל המשושים, שצונח על רקע עמודי בזלת שחורים בצורת משושים. המרחק אל המפל, שנמצא צפונית למרכז המבקרים, הוא 2 ק"מ, לכל כיוון. השביל המוביל אל המפל נוח להליכה, אם כי הוא נמצא בעליה מתונה.

從停車場走到遊客中心後，沿著小碎石步道可以一路走到瀑布旁邊觀賞風景。峭壁上的岩石非常奇特，層次分明的排列整齊。

Ein wunderschöner Naturspektakel und Naturschutzgebiet das man gesehen haben muss. Die Wanderwege sind ebenfalls super und sehr gut ausgeschildert. Einfach wow was man hier um Wegesrand zu sehen bekommt. Eine absolute Sehenswürdigkeit und Empfehlung.
