We stayed for two nights and loved it. The cottages are spacious, well equipped, immaculately clean and in a fantastic location. Einar greeted us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. The location is dark at night and ideal for viewing the northern lights which we saw while there. Stunning! There is a washing machine and dryer available too - very handy after a couple of weeks on the road.

The 4 cottages on the farm are spaced apart so that the renters do not disturb each other during outside activities (e.g. barbecues). Everything is bright, friendly and functionally furnished. The host tries very hard to explain the essentials before you arrive via email. You feel welcome. An excellent location from which to explore the Snaefellsnes peninsula. If you're lucky, like we were, you'll see an impressive Northern Lights spectacle even in early September. Overall, highly recommended.

Add us to the list of 5-star reviews! We enjoyed so much about this place. We loved the horse ride - and just being on the horse farm was fun. The staff was helpful and friendly. We loved hiking the Eldborg Crater, then getting to see it in our gorgeous view from the cabin. We loved having our little home where we could make dinners. We even got a glimpse of the northern lights late in the season (April).

The cottage is cozy, comfy and has everything you need. Great location, easy access to the property and best place to see the northern lights from inside the cottage. We were not lucky to see the northern lights due to the cloud cover. 🙁 We would love to stay at this place in the future for more than two nights and explore the area a little bit more. It is a gem of a place.

Our family of 3 adults had a wonderful stay at the cottages. We had everything we needed. Cottage was clean and cozy. It is is a beautiful and quiet location. Laundry facilities were convenient. Oli was very prompt with his emails.

Excellent location with some dramatic backdrops. Unfortunately on the morning of departure we realised there was no electricity so we could not shower with warm water nor make coffee and the internet was gone too. Fortunately we had our phones charged the evening before. We informed the owner, she could not help right away since the power was off in the entire area BUT it would have been nice if she would have brought some cans or flasks with coffee or hot tea water.

Sodulsholt Cottages and farm were the perfect location for our very special family gathering. The setting is lovely with beautiful views of the horses and countryside. My granddaughter had the best time exploring the fields and rocks looking for elves! We rented all four cozy cottages for three nights which were just as described. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds comfortable and everything was spotless. The gas grills were great for preparing family meals together. The owner, Haldora as well as Arik and Martina, who take care of the horses, were so welcoming and friendly. They went out of their way to make our celebration perfect. Thank you! Sodulsholt is a magical place that we highly recommend!|

The cottages look brand new and are very well designed. It is the little things that count like a fully equiped kitchen with quality pots and pans from Spain, not China and plates from the Czech Republic ,not China. ||The bed was very comfortable and they had reading lamps on both sides of the bed.||We were here the last 3 days of February and surprisingly there was no snow on the ground. The weather was in the mid 40's f and mostly cloudy. We had a special treat on our last night with a specutacular appearence of the Northern Lights. They were dancing right over our heads.. It was the perfect end to a wonderful stay.
